Jewellery Care Guide
At Tuki Jewels, every piece is crafted to be worn, loved and kept. A few simple habits are all it takes to make sure your jewellery stays as beautiful as the day it arrived.
What Our Jewellery Is Made Of
Our pieces are crafted from two premium base materials:
316L Stainless Steel with 18K Gold PVD Coating — Surgical grade stainless steel, known for being highly durable and skin safe. The 18K gold coating is applied through a Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process, which bonds the gold at a molecular level for a longer lasting, more resilient finish.
Brass with 18K Gold Plating — Brass is a classic base metal widely used in fine fashion jewellery. The 18K gold coating gives these pieces a rich, warm finish. Brass pieces respond especially well to a little extra care.
Please check the product page to see the specific material used in each piece.
How to Care for Your Jewellery
- Keep it away from moisture. While everyday wear is perfectly fine, prolonged exposure to water like bathing, swimming or working out can gradually affect the finish over time. It's a good habit to take your jewellery off before these activities to keep it looking its best for longer.
- Put it on last. Apply your perfume, moisturiser, sunscreen or hairspray first, then wear your jewellery. Direct contact with these products can dull the finish over time.
- Store it neatly. Keep each piece separately in the pouch it came in or an airtight zip-lock bag to avoid scratches. Store away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Clean it gently. A soft, dry cloth is all you need. Avoid chemical solutions, jewellery dips or abrasive materials.
- Handle with care. Remove rings and bracelets before cooking, cleaning or any heavy hand activity. Avoid tugging or pulling at chains and delicate pieces.
Please note that we do not provide any guarantee, warranty or repair services. We recommend following this guide to get the most out of every piece.
Ring Size Guide
Not sure what size to order? Here are two easy ways to find out at home.
Method 1 — Using an existing ring
Pick a ring that fits well on the finger you want to wear it on. Measure its inner diameter using a ruler or a ring sizer app and match it to the chart above.
Method 2 — Using a thread or strip of paper
Wrap a thin strip of paper or thread around the base of your finger until it forms a complete circle. Mark where it overlaps, measure that length with a ruler and match it to the circumference column above.
